INTRODUCTION OF COOPERATIVE (DUEL) VOCATIONAL TRAINING FORMS IN THE BUILDING (CONSTRUCTION) SECTOR

Project Description

NSCE is joining forces with IP Consultants to perform component 3 within this program “ pilot measures for duel education system in the construction sector”. The Egyptian - German The overall objective of the program is that the duel job education system is a main substance of the national job education and lead to highly qualified workforce and higher employment rates.

A cooperative (duel) system for vocational training for the construction sectors is to be developed in pilot locations and tested as a model. It is expected that demand for graduates of vocational schools will be significantly increased through the assistance offered by the duel system, thus ensuring both jobs and mobility for the graduates. This program is considered an important contribution to ongoing structure reforms and leads to the improvement of the industrial competitive capability.

The  Egyptian-German training initiative had the goal to initiate a structure change in the Egyptian vocational education system, which should lead to higher and comprehensively qualified manpower.

ASSESSMENT / DIAGNOSTIC OF THE ISLAMIC ART AND CRAFT SCHOOL – TRIPOLI

Project Description

NSCE was commissioned to prepare an action plan to upgrade the operation of the Islamic Art School in order to deliver market responsive vocational training services and manage in a effective way its production and marketing activities. Important activities carried out to assess the situation were; training and education performance; integration of graduates; market assessment.

This resulted in:

  • The institutional and organizational capacity of the Islamic Art School was completed and recommendation for improvements were formulated

  •  The educational system and process were assessed and proposed measure for improvement were formulated

  •  The impacts of the training on the integration of student into active life were completed and measures to improve effectiveness were identified

  • Production management and marketing activities were assessed along with identified opportunities for developing professional marketing capacity

  •  Action for follow up measures was formulated and adopted by stakeholders

Proposal for funding by the Libyan government under a cost sharing agreement with UNDP was submitted to the Libyan government

VOCATIONAL TRAINING THROUGH THE SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISE SUPPORT PROJECT

Project Description NSCE conducted surveys and studies to provide the project with sufficient information about the functioning of the Vocational Training Centers, and on how the training facilities could be upgraded to meet the special training needs of small and micro enterprises.
