Project Description |
The
overall aim of the project is to
support tangible improvements to
district level Primary Health
Care services for the most
vulnerable sections of the
population, particularly women
and children, through assisting
in the development of an
effective, district-based
Primary Health Care (PHC)
delivery system, in line with
new national policies of
decentralization of health
services.
The
project is working towards
offering technical support at
both district and governorate
level, by the placement of ICD
development workers (DWs) with
the required expertise, to work
alongside counterparts and
provide training and support
towards the implementation of
the district health policy. The
project promote effective
democratic participation of the
communities in planning and
promoting their own health care,
through training at district
level and advocacy at a national
level.
NSCE has worked on reviewing the
extent to which project
objectives have been met,
identifying the main strengths
and weaknesses of the project
and making suggestions about
overcoming weaknesses.
